In the temperate regions of the world, wherever there are mountains, there is likely snow. And wherever there is snow, skiing becomes a possiblity. From the Altay Region of China, where some of the oldest evidence of skiing exists, to the air conditioned indoor facility “Ski Dubai”, the images above are a glide through some of the places skiing exists, often at the margins of the global ski industry.
