Whistler has held the WSSF for a what seems like quite a few years now. The diversity in music, spring skiing and competition, and arts events have become part of the fabric of a complete Whistler ski season. I remember attending the Pro Photographer Showdown for the first time when I was starting out and trying to become a little more “serious” about taking action photographs. I drove up to Whistler in my dad’s sedan and watched the shows, slept in the car that night and envisioned someday entering the contest. That time has come and I am humbled by my competition this year – it promises to be an inspiring evening.

For the past week I have been working on my show, dialing in my Final Cut skills. After years of using the program, I feel like I have finally figured out what works for slideshows and what does not.
